January 2009

  • Jan. 8th - Our first meeting of the year, at 6pm with the Board of Directors meeting immediately flowing. Plan to start 2009 with a huge bang!

December 2008

  • Dec. 18th - Our normal Lunch Meeting at Round Table Pizza on Cleveland Ave. (across from Staples). 12:15pm with meeting starting at 12:30pm. Our program is Tina Panza, the Director of Safe Routes to School. Come to the meeting and make Tina feel welcome. This is will also be our last meeting of 2008…make this last meeting the biggest of the year…so come join us.
  • Dec. 10th - Howard Daulton Christmas Dinner for the Sonoma State Eldridge residents and staff (well only 30+/- of these deserving adults)
  • Dec. 9th - Decorate for the 10th. (Dave Berto and Robert Maize, Co-Chairmen)
  • Dec. 6th - Judy’s Tree Trimming Party. Fun time after a Bell Ringing!
  • Dec. 6th - Kiwanis of Santa Rosa Bell Ringing for Salvation Army. Daylong event and we need more to sign up for the afternoon 2 hour shifts. Please call me.
  • Dec. 4th - Perhaps taking Art Weaver to the Great Napa Kiwanis Club (Interclub) call Doug if you’d like to go.
  • Dec. 4th - Evening Board of Directors Meeting (no luncheon meeting)
  • Dec. 3rd - is President Doug Braik’s personal commitment to help the Salvation Army ring bells. He is taking a 10 to 6 shift and if you can help (relieve) some time that day, please let him know.

July 2008

  • ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL? We are on our way to a wonderful event this year. Although, we are a little behind from last year in selling ads, Al Miller is keeping us informed weekly on our progress. You can contact Al at 836-8601 if you have any questions regarding your ad or ad sales for the Program. Our Richard Bigham Memorial All-Star High School Football Game is at SRJC, Saturday, July 19th. We need all our members there to help ensure this fundraiser is an even bigger success than last year. We will present & award the Scholarships to the selected team members at Half Time. Members coming to help need to be at the JC ball field at 6pm to help set up – contact Leonard Sevall at 546-2146 if you have any questions about helping. Members are needed for T-Shirts sales & Ticket Sales at both East & West Gates. Don Gomes will head up the Raffle Ticket Sales – get in touch with Don at 576-3436 (Home) or 477-1668 (Cell) if you would like to help sell Raffle Tickets.

June 2008

  • Thurs., June 12th is our Skip-a-Meal to raise money for Kiwanis Family House. This is in place of our lunch meeting. This is a potluck and raffle at Dave Sloat’s home – make your calendar and don’t miss this special evening of fun …. More information to follow.

  • Sunday, June 1st is our Baseball Game …. We need everyone to sell advertisements …. Contact Al Miller if you have any questions about the ads – 836-8601. Contact Dave Sloat 579-1318 or Leonard Sevall 546-2146 if you can help at the Baseball Game. Need members to sell tickets at the gate, sell raffle tickets and sell t-shirts. Be there at 10:30-11:00am for setup.

May 2008

  • Rosa Parade May 17th – Cindy will be riding in Bob Goodman’s Corvette - if you have not contacted Doug Braik about helping, please call 48 5794-1550. Lots of support is needed to make this service project a success.

April 2008

  • Santa Rosa Rebuilding Together – April 26th – more information to follow.

  • April 6th is the Governor’s Dinner Hosted by Healdsburg Kiwanis.  Address: 1248 No. Fitch Mountain Road, Healdsburg – Cocktails at 6pm with dinner at 6:45pm – those with reservations are: Marsha Sanchez, Cindy Limbo-Somma, Doug Braik, Leonard Sevall, Charlotte Baker, as well as a group of Key Club and Circle K members.
  • April 4th, 5th, 6th is Kiwanis One Day Service Project at Camp Navarro. We have 5 members attending. Ed Berland, Melinda Hughes-Berland, Dave Sloat, Luane Bigham, Becca Hood.

December 2007

  • December 22 Bell Ringing, contact Doug.

  • December 20 meeting Bake Sale. Administrative fundraiser. Bring
    goodies to auction off along with your sweet tooth and your wallet.
  • December 16 Holiday open house at the Sanchez house 1:00pm-4:00pm.

  • December 14 Holiday party at the Berland's 6:00pm-10:00pm contact. Melinda for potluck items.

  • December 8 Tree Trimming party at the Sepik's from 4:00pm-???? Please RSVP to Judy 887-2217, just leave me a message.

November 2007

  • Thanksgiving Day - Thanksgiving Breakfast. More info coming. Dave Berto, chairman.
  • November 8th - Annual Veterans Tribute Luncheon @ Veterans building in SR. No meeting at Sam's that day. (See Mari Featherstone for tickets.)
  • November 3rd-All You Can Eat Boy Scout Pancake Event. 7:30-11:30am. (See Doug Braik for info.)

October 2007

  • October 27th - Honor Guards, Boy Scouts. 2:00-4:00pm. (See Doug Braik for further info.)

September 2007

  • Sept 6th – Lt. Gov.’s Installation Dinner in Petaluma
  • Sept 13th – Board of Directors’ monthly meeting
  • Sept 27th - Club Installation Dinner at Cattlemen’s Restaurant, Montgomery Village
  • "Wine to Waves" Multiple Sclerosis community service project, pancake breakfast

August 2007

  • Aug 16th – All-Star Games Committee Wrap-up Meeting
  • Aug 16th – Meeting presentation by Exchange Bank Trust Dept. employee
  • Aug 18th & 19th – Pacific Coast Air Museum Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser
  • Aug 21st – Interclub at Fort Bragg Club
  • Aug 22nd – New member orientation @ Marsha Sanchez’ home
  • Aug 23rd – FY 2008 Budget Meeting before the regular club meeting
  • Aug 23rd-26th – CalNevHa Convention in Reno (official club reps, Charlotte Baker & Doug Braik)
  • Aug 25th – Troop 134 Eagle Scout Court of Honor - contact Doug Braik if you would like to attend.
  • Aug 25th – Alaskan Cruise fundraiser

July 2007

  • July 17th - Interclub to Ukiah
  • July 19th - Football All-Star players & coaches at club meeting
  • July 20th - "Cruising the Bay" with Cap'n Kurty
